Ground Rods
Copper-Bonded Ground Rods
nVent ERICO copper-bonded ground rods are the highest quality ground rods available today. We use a unique manufacturing process, which includes drawing the steel rod to size before the copper bonding process begins. This results in a straighter, harder steel core, making installation easier. nVent ERICO uses a continuous electro-plating process over the steel core that results in a permanent molecular bond that provides decades of reliable performance.

For use in highly-corrosive soils.
Chemical Ground Electrodes
Chemical ground electrodes provide a low impedance ground in locations of high soil resistivity and dry soil conditions. Used in conjunction with a bentonite backfill and nVent ERICO’s unique GEM material and Quickfill, the nVent ERICO chemical ground rod electrode systems provide a method to improve soil resistivity directly surrounding the electrode, and can replace multiple conventional ground rods. It maintains a low ground resistance, maintenance-free installation that dissipates lightning energy and other dangerous electrical fault currents, even in sandy or rocky soil conditions.

Galvanized Ground Rods
Zinc-coated exteriors are hot-dip galvanized for solid protection against corrosion, in accordance with ASTM® specification A123. Surfaces are rigidly inspected to eliminate seams, slivers and other defects.

Ensuring that a facility or structure is properly grounded can often require integration into the existing or planned environment around that facility. nVent ERICO offers a variety of clamps and connectors that help you affix and connect your grounding system’s conductors to pipes, fence posts and gates with ease.
Rebar Connectors
Many international standards require bonding to concrete encased electrodes (rebar) in grounding systems. The nVent ERICO range of rebar connections includes the heavy duty RC70 & RC100 that provide two connection points to the rebar. These heavy-duty rebar clamps features high-strength bronze alloy construction and are specially designed to bond to reinforcing bars (Rebar), but will also work as connections to steam pipes, handrails and similar metal structures.

Rail Connectors
The nVent ERICO contact series of rail contacts provides a superior quality connection to the rail web with a very low contact resistance. The contacts are quickly and easily fitted by means of an insertion tool, regardless of weather conditions. Tested to the most demanding requirements of the Rail Industry Standards, nVent ERICO contact is the ideal solution for mechanically applied connections such as signal engineering, earthing (grounding), or traction return current.

GEM Ground Enhancement Material
Ground Enhancement Material (GEM) is a superior conductive material that solves your toughest grounding problems. It is the ideal material to use in areas of poor conductivity, such as rocky ground, mountain tops and sandy soil. GEM dramatically reduces earth resistance and impedance measurements. Furthermore, GEM may reduce the size of the grounding system where conventional methods are unsatisfactory. Once installed, GEM is maintenance-free, not requiring periodic charging or the presence of water to maintain its conductivity.

Inspection Housing Seal Kit
The unique design of the Earth Rod Seal Kit prevents ground water from entering the earth pit and reduces pressure on the cover and inner chamber. Waterproofing is achieved by enclosing an upper section of copper-bonded earth rod in a plastic (UPVC) pipe with a total of four seals: on both ends of the earth rod.
